The Friends of the Eccentric Club

In September 2009, the Eccentric Club Committee has established a satellite organisation for those wishing to support the Eccentric Club endeavours but, for various reasons, unable or not ready to commit to seeking full membership of the club.

"The Friends of the Eccentric Club" is for those who are fascinated with our heritage, those whose friends or relatives were or are the members of the club, those who share our ideals and views on life.

Unlike the club membership, the membership of this supporting organisation is open to anyone, there are no age or any other restrictions, no proposers or seconders are necessary, and the Committee will consider your candidacy within a fairly short period of time.

Having become a member, you will receive a Welcome Pack, membership card and badge, you will be invited monthly to our Open Convivial parties where you would be able to meet and talk with the existing club members and their friends, new candidates and other club supporters, like yourself. We will send you our club magazine and invite you to the selected functions. You will also be receiving special offers of collectable, 'limited edition', memorable gifts with the Eccentric Club insignia.

Unlike the club membership, the annual subscription for "The Friends of the Eccentric Club" is just £35, so less than £3 a month, but even these small donations will help the club to develop further, to revive many of its activities and traditions and to support many charitable causes.

Most active supporters of the Eccentric Club shall be invited to a special, 'members-only', Award Ceremony and Dinner, where their efforts and loyalty to the Club shall be formally acknowledged and celebrated, and the memorable Trophies will be presented to them by the members of the Club Committee.
